The theme of attention at the AUDIENCExSCIENCE New York 2023
How do you focus attention? The hot topic among visitors of our session at AUDIENCExSCIENCE 2023
On 25 and 26 April 2023, ARF held its annual conference, AUDIENCExSCIENCE 2023.
In 2023, the series of events again brought together experts from to shed light on the current state of media measurement.
As a conference, it highlights the most important issues in audience measurement and presents the latest research findings. Topics such as consumer behaviour on brands, insights into TV consumption, measuring campaigns and their effectiveness, attention metrics, cross-platform measurement or new advertising formats are the focus of the event.
The main message that the audience, who attended the ARF conference live or virtually, could take away was the following: Attention, be it for content or for advertising, is a valuable resource for consumers.
The presentation by US President Jeff Bander and Matthias Rothensee was all about our motto this year: “Meaningful Attention”.
There is growing awareness in the advertising and market research industry that solely technical and machine metrics are no longer sufficient to analyze what is happening on users’ screens and beyond.
We’ve made it our mission to help businesses and consumers better understand, improve, and ultimately enjoy the human digital experience.
One of the most important metrics right now is attention, which has become so central to many approaches that some call our economy an “attention economy”. But mere focused attention is not enough to explain what is going on in the market.
In short, our goal in market research is to generate attention that is effective, targeted, meaningful and processed at a deeper level. Because this is the only way to build long-term customer relationships.
Apropos: On this page, you will also find a sneak preview of further lectures on the topic of Meaningful Attention.
