Art and market research – our annual art project at the turn of the year

Art is part of our identity and corporate culture. CEO Michael Schiessl says that art and market research are similarly complex, and that artists and researchers can learn a lot from each other. From his perspective, art helps to decipher complex phenomena and promote openness to innovation.

This year, we have once again continued our long-term series with artistic, illustrative portraits of people who sacrificed themselves for their convictions during the National Socialist era. As a Christmas message to you, we have added two more personalities to the series, and many of you have already received the new motifs as Christmas cards.

Michael Schiessl initiated the series of motifs with the idea of paying tribute to those people who were persecuted and killed during the National Socialist era.

With the continuing of our art series, we would like to draw attention to two more extraordinary martyrs of National Socialism

Maria Terwiel

07.06.1910 – † 1943

Maria Terwiel was imprisoned by the National Socialists on September 17, 1942. As a supporter of the German resistance group “Red Orchestra”, she distributed illegal leaflets and affixed stickers against the National Socialist propaganda exhibition. She was arrested for several weeks and was finally sentenced to death.

Bernhard Lichtenberg

03.12.1875 – † 05.11.1943

During the National Socialist dictatorship, Bernhard Lichtenberg, a German priest and cathedral provost in Berlin, spoke out publicly on behalf of the persecuted. He is venerated as a martyr in the Roman Catholic Church and is regarded as blessed.

We would like to use these Christmas greetings to express our thanks for the good cooperation and wish you health, happiness and success for the New Year!
